Janice is a first-generation college graduate who completed her M.A. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Michigan and received her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, double-majoring in Asian Studies (concentration in Chinese) and Peace, War, and Defense. She is originally from North Carolina but has also lived and worked abroad in Ethiopia and China. Her previous role as an Intercultural Programs Coordinator at the UC Davis Global Learning Hub involved creating programming for students with a concentration on global and intercultural learning and engagement, and planning orientation for international students. Janice aims to support students holistically and connect them to resources for future success, both personally and professionally. She enjoys travelling (currently has been to 20 countries), reading, and cooking.
