Born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico Daniela and her family came to the United States ready to build a better life for themselves. In this role, Daniela focused her energy on developing holistic mentorship and professional development programs specifically designed for undocumented students at UC Davis.

Working to support, advocate for and empower underrepresented students in higher education, solidified Daniela's interest in her career and motivated her to pursue a Master's Degree in Higher Education Leadership. During her time in the Psychology Department, she enhanced the undergraduate experience of over 3000 students by streamlining departmental Study Abroad, Orientation and Mandatory Advising processes.
