Shannan Schobinger is an Undergraduate Student Advisor at BASC. She earned both her M.S.Ed. in Counselor Education and B.A. in Psychology from Indiana University. She has provided academic advising, career coaching, and teaching to undergraduate students within the natural and social sciences at Indiana University and the University of Delaware.  Shannan is a first-generation college student who enjoys partnering with undergraduate students with diverse backgrounds helping each student to identify and achieve their individual goals. If she had to provide one piece of advice to undergraduate students, it would be to explore all opportunities available and get connected to campus early. Making connections with peers, faculty and staff, resources, and organizations or clubs on campus can make a significant difference in your undergraduate experience.

In Shannan’s free time, she enjoys her Boxer named Nico, practices mindfulness by getting outside to appreciate nature, explores new restaurants, and plays board games with her husband, Adam.
