Tom Hall is an advisor for the Neurology, Physiology and Behavior major. Tom has been with UC Davis for more than 25 years and with the College of Biological Sciences Dean's Office since 2003. Prior to joining the College, Tom worked as the University's athletic eligibility officer, after joining the university as a sports information officer and assistant track coach in 1985.
Tom earned his bachelor's degree in journalism from San Francisco State, where he played tight end for the Gators' football squad. He then worked as a newspaper reporter for three years before coming to Davis. Later he earned a master's in Business Administration from Saint Mary's College of California.
Currently, Tom and his wife, Laura, a university administrator, have two children, Katie (Davis High School) and Willie (Columbia University). In his spare time, Tom is a volunteer coach with Team Davis, the local representative of Special Olympics, as well as with various youth sports organizations. From time to time he still competes against undergraduates in IM sports with his Dingo flag football team.
