Alycia Drwencke, Ph.D. Candidate, University of California, Davis, presents "Does time heal all wounds? Welfare consequences of caustic paste disbudding in dairy calves".

Alycia is a PhD Candidate at the University of California, Davis in the Animal Behavior Graduate Group. She received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Michigan State University and MSc in Animal Biology from UC Davis. Before returning to UC Davis, Alycia worked as a dairy management specialist with Cornell Cooperative Extension for 2 years. Alycia’s PhD research is focused on mitigating pain and improving welfare around routine management procedures such as disbudding in dairy calves.
