CBS Dean's Circle

The CBS Dean’s Circle is a community of dedicated supporters committed to shaping the future of the College of Biological Sciences. Individuals who contribute $1,000 or more annually to any area within the College of Biological Sciences are recognized as part of the Dean’s Circle and play a vital role in driving scientific discovery, inspiring students, and addressing global challenges.

Membership Tiers and Benefits

Member

Annual Giving: $1,000-$2,499 to any area within CBS

Members receive:

  • Exclusive access to insider communication, including Hot Off the Press news updates and Spotlight event announcements.
  • Invitations to signature CBS gatherings, including an annual virtual meeting with the Dean.
  • Impact reports featuring students whose academic journeys are enriched by Dean’s Circle support.
  • A copy of the CBS Year-End Report, highlighting key achievements and impact.

All CBS Dean’s Circle members contributing $1,000 or more annually are also honored with membership in the UC Davis Chancellor’s Club, a university-wide recognition of philanthropic leadership.

Cultivator

Annual Giving: $2,500–$9,999 to any area within CBS

Cultivators enjoy all Member benefits, plus:

  • Eligibility to sponsor or participate in a Give Day challenge gift, amplifying the impact of community giving.
  • Invitations to exclusive events, including Under the Microscope behind-the-scenes tours showcasing CBS research and facilities.

Luminary 

Annual Giving: $10,000 or more to any area within CBS

Luminaries receive all Catalyst benefits, plus:

  • A personalized tour of the UC Davis campus or CBS facilities, tailored to your interests.

Special Recognition

CBS Innovator

Annual Giving: $1,000 or more to the Dean’s Innovation Fund

In addition to tier-specific benefits, Innovators receive:

  • A special invitation to the Summer Undergraduate Research Program Showcase.
  • Impact reports highlighting student experiences supported by the Dean’s Innovation Fund.

CNS Director’s Circle

Annual Giving: $1,000 or more to the Center for Neuroscience

Director’s Circle members receive:

  • A welcome packet and annual CNS Year-End Report.
  • Invitations to exclusive CNS events, including the NeuroFest Donor Reception, Neuroscience Fast Pitch Competition and the Director’s Circle Gratitude Lunch.
