D.E.M.O. (Davis Emergency Medicine Organization) is a student-run organization dedicated to supporting students interested in emergency medicine and healthcare careers. Through professional development events, physician panels, mentorship opportunities, and community engagement, we strive to provide valuable resources and first hand exposure to the healthcare field while fostering a supportive community of future healthcare professionals.

One of our most anticipated events of this spring quarter is the D.E.M.O. Physician Panel. If you're interested in medicine, emergency care, or the journey to becoming a physician, this is an opportunity you won't want to miss. Join Dr. Emily Andrada, MD, Director of Pediatric Emergency Medicine Education and a leader in medical education; Dr. David Barnes, MD, F.A.C.E.P., Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine; Dr. John Rose, MD, F.A.C.E.P., F.A.E.M.S., Professor of Emergency Medicine and EMS Medical Director at UC Davis Medical Center; and Dr. Jacob Matalon, MD, an Emergency Medicine Resident from the Class of 2028. Learn about their journeys through medical school, residency, clinical practice, and leadership roles while gaining valuable insight into what it truly takes to succeed in medicine today. Whether you're pre-med, exploring healthcare careers, or simply curious about life in the emergency department, this panel will offer valuable insights into medical school, residency, clinical practice, and the realities of working on the front lines of patient care.

Come prepared with questions, expand your professional network, and gain firsthand knowledge from experts in the field. Join us on Wednesday, June 3rd, from 6:30–8:30 PM in TLC Room 1215 for an engaging discussion that could help shape your future in healthcare. Seats are limited, so be sure to RSVP and send in your questions! Hope to see you all there!
