Research Interests

The evolutionary forces that shape genetic variation within and between populations are central to my research. I investigate the processes that drive genomic diversity, such as mutation, recombination and natural selection. I apply the rapidly advancing genomic and computational technologies to explore the genetic bases of variation in complexly inherited traits. I hope my research will expand understanding of evolutionary biology and have applications in medicine, agriculture and the management of natural resources.
