Research Interests: Eukaryotic cell growth regulation. Researchers in Dr. Powers' lab use S. cerevisiae as a model to focus on the target of rapamycin (TOR) signal transduction network. They examine the effects of intracellular signals as well as environmental stimuli on gene regulation, protein translation and trafficking, and complex formation.
