On Friday, January 18, National Academy of Sciences President Marcia McNutt visited campus for a presentation on “The Climate for Women in STEM: Past, Present, and Future.”
Her lecture explored her personal experiences as a pioneering woman in science as well as insights from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s report entitled “Sexual Harassment of Women: Climate, Culture, and Consequences.”
