The University of California, Davis, raised more than $676 million in philanthropic support during fiscal year 2025–26, more than doubling the university's previous giving record and marking the strongest fundraising year in its history.

Donors’ unprecedented level of investment in UC Davis will expand opportunities for students, strengthen faculty excellence, accelerate discoveries that improve lives, and support new facilities and programs that elevate the university’s impact across California and beyond.

Together, we're building a brighter future that will reach far beyond our campus for generations to come.”

From July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, the university raised $676,216,825 with 56,153 gifts from 29,668 donors to support disciplines and programs across UC Davis and UC Davis Health — from veterinary medicine and agricultural innovation to health care, research, the arts and student success.

Record-Breaking Totals in CBS

The College of Biological Sciences achieved a record-breaking fundraising year, securing more than $19.6M from 872 donors, including 168 new donors, the largest number of new donors in college’s history. 

Beyond the amount raised, this milestone reflects the growing engagement and confidence of alumni, friends and supporters in CBS. The record number of new donors is especially significant because it expands the college’s philanthropic community and strengthens the foundation for long-term support and impact. 

CBS exceeded the goal of its CBS 20th Anniversary Matching Initiative, raising more than $210K to support Course-based Undergraduate Research Experiences (CUREs) as well as emerging college needs and opportunities.

The success of this initiative was made possible through the leadership and generosity of the CBS Philanthropy Leadership Council, whose gifts established the matching fund. Their investment not only inspired broader donor participation but also demonstrated their confidence in the college’s vision, leadership and future.
