CBS Department and Graduate Group Faculty Among Academic Senate Honorees

Four faculty, two each in CBS departments and graduate groups, are among this year’s recipients of the Academic Senate and Federation top awards. They are in a cohort of 15 academics across various disciplines throughout the university to be recognized.

The awards cite the impact these academics have had on their fields, on UC Davis students and on the broader community through public service.

From the Dean: Unity, Compassion and Hope

California’s Tule Fog is always thick, but not always as persistent as it has been lately. With finals concluded last week and the students home, campus has been grey, cold and dreary – until today. Annual College Awards for Teaching, Research and Community Recognize Excellence Across Faculty, Staff

Each year, the college presents teaching, research and Principles of Community awards to recognize exceptional contributions by CBS faculty and staff.

The teaching and research awards, given to faculty, recognize impact by faculty in the classroom, the laboratory, and within their disciplines. This year, two faculty members received the teaching award, and one received the research award.
